Fair Compensation

LexCapital has welcomed the recent legislation on Fair Compensation introduced with Law No. 49 of 21 April 2023.

Fair compensation is based on the recognition of the intrinsic value of intellectual and creative work, counteracting practices that lead to the underpayment of professionals.

This legislation promotes transparency in professional contracts by requiring clear and specific payment terms and conditions. It also fosters competition by promoting recognition of the value of professional skills and qualifications.

It seeks principally to reinforce the dignity of labour, recognising the value of the contribution made by professionals to society and the economy. In this way, the law seeks to create a fairer and more sustainable working environment by promoting a culture that values and adequately remunerates intellectual work.
